At the end of the season Smith teams up with Bahrain 1 Racing to continue his Nitrous Pro Modified run

Traveled to Bahrain numerous times to help with the Al-Anabi Motorsports Team

Won first race ever outside of the United States at the Bahrain International Circuit

Helped with the process of bringing Al-Anabi Motorsports into the NHRA

2007

Named the No. 1 Mountain Motor Pro Stock Racer of All-Time

Was one of the top-four inducted into the Inagural Bristol Motorsports Hall of Fame

Won NHRA's first Pro Mod race at the Mac Tools   Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL

Took over crew chief duties for Ron Krisher, Jim Yates and Kenny Koretsky

1999

Won NHRA Pro Stock race at the Matco Tools   Supernationals in Houston, TX

1997

Started racing Pro Modified - '63 Nitrous Injected Chevy   Corvette

Won the first IHRA Pro Mod race he entered at Bristol   Motor Speedway

Finished third in the IHRA Pro Mod Championship Points

1996

Teamed up with Troy Humphrey

Finished fifth in NHRA Pro Stock Championship Points

Became the seventh member of the Holley 6-Second Pro Stock Club

Started from the No. 1 spot from the first time in his   career at the Fram Nationals in Atlanta, GA

Also qualified No. 1 at the Mopar Nationals in Englishtown,  NJ and the Pennzoil Nationals in Memphis, TN

Runner-up at the NHRA U.S. Nationals and the NHRA   Winston Select Finals
